Rod Strickland signs with Miami
10/22/01 - Miami HEAT President and Head Coach Pat Riley announced today that the HEAT has signed free agent Rod Strickland. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Strickland, a 6'3", 185-pound guard, has appeared in 894 games during his 13-year NBA career which has included stints in New York, San Antonio, Portland and Washington. He has averaged 14.5 points, 7.9 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.62 steals and 32.4 minutes while shooting 45.8 percent from the floor and 71.8 percent from the foul line. (More...)


Heat Sign Swingman, Sam Mack
9/14/01 - Sam Mack signed Friday with the Miami Heat after spending last season out of the NBA.  A 6-foot-7, 212-pound swingman, Mack has averaged 8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists during his NBA career with San Antonio, Houston, Vancouver and Golden State. (More...)

9/01/01 - On Saturday, September 1st, Alonzo Mourning, All-star center of the Miami HEAT, embarked on his newest business venture; CUTZ Barber Shop. Mourning was on hand celebrating the grand opening of CUTZ, an establishment he recently invested in with personal barber, Peter Bethel.
